Chairman
José is a Commercial Engineer by profession, his experience is based on entrepreneurship and team leadership. His passion for conserving the Puelo River has been part of his life for more than 13 years. A connoisseur of mountains and valleys of the commune, his concern is with culture, people and nature. He has been a member of Puelo Patagonia since 2013.
Director
Andrés has been part of the Puelo Patagonia team since its inception. He is a lawyer by profession and photographer by passion. He loves the Puelo River, the granite walls of Cochamó and fly fishing. As a photographer he has made several exhibitions and published works, mainly oriented to exhibit the landscape as a tool for the conservation of the environment and biodiversity.
Director
Rodrigo is a mountain guide by profession, he arrived more than 15 years ago to Cochamó, in love with the landscapes of northern Patagonia. He has worked on tourism projects in the area and has participated in various conservation projects throughout Chile. He was an important part of the group that promoted the Cochamó River water reserve and has been a member of the board of directors of Puelo Patagonia since its inception.
Director
Klaus is a Forestry Engineer and Coach. Professionally he has specialized in territorial planning and conservation plans for public and private protected areas, as well as in environmental issues. He loves forests, mountains and meaningful conversations. His passion for nature he seeks to radiate through environmental education and participation in conservation projects at a local scale.
Chief Executive Officer
Andrés came to Cochamó more than 15 years ago and has never stopped going. He has worked in different projects related to ecotourism and conservation. He is an ecotourism business administrator, studied commercial engineering, is a sea kayak guide and has taken courses in mountaineering, leadership and first aid in remote areas.
Communications and community outreach
Josefina is a publicist by profession with a specialization in strategic communication and a degree in social communication. Her experience is based on working in community relations, media relations and communications. Her love for nature led her to join the Puelo Patagonia group more than 7 years ago.
Administration Manager
Benjamín is an Ecotourist by profession, he worked as a fly fishing guide for several years in Northern Patagonia deepening that charm for nature and generating that interest in working on projects linked to conservation. Since the beginning of 2018 he decided to join and be part of the Puelo Patagonia team performing the position of project manager.
Lawyer
Gabriela is a lawyer with experience in the design and execution of technical-legal strategies in environmental and sustainable development matters, who has worked in the defense of the Puelo River since 2015. Captivated by the Andes Mountains and the native flora, she found a purpose seeking biocultural regeneration in interdisciplinary work spaces, where trust, collaboration and continuous learning prevail.
Designer
Leyla is a graphic designer by profession and has more than 12 years of experience in this area. Her interest in nature led her to volunteer with our organization since its inception, supporting with her talent the protection of the Cochamó and Puelo watersheds.
Journalist
Bernardita is a journalist by profession and a member of the 6th generation of the Latam Network for young journalists of Distinct Latitudes. His professional career has been mainly focused on telling human stories in various formats, mainly digital, always in contact with the communities.
Territorial Planning Manager
Gabriel is a geographer and has dedicated much of his time to researching the environments of the past, studying for a master's degree in Paleontology to delve deeper into these issues. He has collaborated in some projects related to conservation and local development and has actively participated in environmental education and science dissemination initiatives.
Project Management
After a decade in the field of university teaching, he moved his life to southern Chile and began to participate as coordinator of different conservation initiatives with a focus on environmental education. Today he is part of the Puelo Patagonia team working in the area of administration and project management.
