We aim for this project to demonstrate and <strong>spire donors in Chile to believe in conservation as a long-term development model.\"<\/strong> and that this example helps inspire and fund conservation and protection initiatives in other areas of Chile and around the world,\" says Claro.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to monetary contributions, the director of Puelo Patagonia shared that they have received messages from people around the world offering other ways to support the cause\u2014such as volunteering on-site, donating images, and promoting the campaign in their workplaces, among others. \"This shows us that people are eager to contribute to the conservation of Pucheg\u00fc\u00edn and the well-being of its inhabitants,\" says Claro.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minister of the Environment, Maisa Rojas<\/strong>During her recent visit to the Los Lagos Region, Minister of the Environment, Maisa Rojas, stated in an interview with Radio B\u00edo B\u00edo that if the purchase of Pucheg\u00fc\u00edn is successful, \"it could become part of the National System of Protected Areas. This could be a viable option since the Biodiversity and Protected Areas Service (...) includes a new conservation category, which is private.\"&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Donations and Philanthropy in Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Philanthropy in Chile still has a long way to go. While there is still much to do, this work remains our top priority throughout the entire process,\" says Claro.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan una publicaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica de Conservation International (2019), se ha evidenciado que <strong>invertir en el desarrollo de capacidades dentro de las comunidades locales ha llevado a un aumento del 35% en la eficiencia de la gesti\u00f3n de los recursos naturales.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese sentido Alex Perry, gerente para Latinoam\u00e9rica de la marca outdoor Patagonia, asegura que este modelo puede ser replicado tambi\u00e9n por las grandes empresas del pa\u00eds que est\u00e1n interesadas en hacer filantrop\u00eda ambiental: \u201cHace un par de a\u00f1os anunciamos que los r\u00e9ditos econ\u00f3micos que lograr\u00e1 la empresa ser\u00edan reinvertidos en Salvar el Planeta Tierra, y es justamente parte de nuestras acciones lograr este tipo de alianzas donde la propuesta, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la conservaci\u00f3n, sea tambi\u00e9n la mantenci\u00f3n, el rescate y el trabajo con las comunidades involucradas\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prioridad en donaci\u00f3n chilena<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si bien la campa\u00f1a lleva m\u00e1s de un cuarto de la meta -a\u00fan quedan US $57 millones por recaudar- para sus organizadores el siguiente paso es masificar en los pr\u00f3ximos meses la donaci\u00f3n de personas naturales (no institucionales), con un \u00e9nfasis en la donaci\u00f3n en Chile.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChile tiene importantes desaf\u00edos para avanzar en la conservaci\u00f3n de la naturaleza, fuente de bienestar para las comunidades y un elemento fundante del desarrollo sostenible del pa\u00eds.
