style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Luego de muchos a\u00f1os de trabajo colectivo entre la comunidad local, organizaciones de la sociedad civil e instituciones p\u00fablicas se aprob\u00f3 la creaci\u00f3n del Santuario de la Naturaleza Valle Cocham\u00f3,&nbsp;\u00e1rea que tiene un total de 11.432,8 hect\u00e1reas y&nbsp;que protege 6.500 hect\u00e1reas de bosque maduro y 1.800 hect\u00e1reas de alerces milenarios, r\u00edos y humedales ribere\u00f1os que aportan nutrientes y vida al estuario de Reloncav\u00ed y de un patrimonio geol\u00f3gico muy representativo de la Patagonia, que tiene en el valle de Cocham\u00f3 su principal exponente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The request was submitted by the Valle de Cocham\u00f3 Organization, with technical support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/puelopatagonia.cl\/en\/\">Puelo Patagonia NGO<\/a>, at the same time, these organizations have successfully brought together the local community to work around this conservation initiative, including groups such as the Arrieros Association of the Cocham\u00f3 Valley, the Indigenous Community Antu Lemu No. 1219, the Cocham\u00f3 Destination Tourism Chamber, the local tourism guild, Neighborhood Council No. 6 of Cocham\u00f3, the Cocham\u00f3 Seniors Club, and the Municipality of Cocham\u00f3, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure serie de reuniones con las autoridades pertinentes, donde destaca el compromiso del equipo regional de Bienes Nacionales, permitieron hacer realidad esta \u00e1rea protegida, en un proceso participativo que permite asegurar una gesti\u00f3n y administraci\u00f3n sustentable en el tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next phase for the Cocham\u00f3 Valley Sanctuary will involve developing a participatory governance model that enables the implementation of a management plan\u2014one that balances the recreational use of the area by the thousands of tourists who visit each year with the
