Cochamó at a Click

The district of Cochamó has developed within a historically isolated territory, shaping a community with a a unique material and cultural character.However, this same condition has also created limitations and the absence of officially recognized heritage sites. oficiales in the district, despite its rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage.

In this context, the project “Cochamó Heritage at a Click” emerges, aiming to highlight local heritage through an interactive “mapstory”-style cartography. that includes sites of cultural and historical significance across the district, in an easily accessible format.

This research and outreach project is aimed primarily at informing local residents, as well as anyone interested in visiting the district.

» Identificar, describir y poner en valor el patrimonio natural y cultural de la comuna de Cochamó con el fin de ponerlo a disposición de la comunidad local, a través de esta plataforma digital que contiene cinco mapas interactivos y una biblioteca digital en crecimiento.

» Compilación de material bibliográfico. » Reuniones con autoridades comunales y regionales relacionadas en el área de educación y programas culturales.
» Recopilación de testimonios a través de instancias participativas en las siguientes localidades: Pocoihuen, Cochamó, La Junta, Puelo, Segundo Corral.
» Reconocimiento del territorio de forma presencial.
» Identificación de 56 hitos patrimoniales.
