At Puelo Patagonia, we are looking for an organized, proactive, and committed individual to take on the role of Operations and Logistics Manager. This position is key to ensuring the effective implementation of our field activities and the smooth operational functioning of our projects in Chilean Patagonia.
Employment Type: On-site in Puerto Varas (mandatory), with frequent travel to the Cochamó area and the Puelo watershed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the logistics for workshops, community activities, monitoring, donor visits, and field campaigns.
- Oversee the use, maintenance, and availability of infrastructure, vehicles, and organizational equipment.
- Support the conservation and community engagement teams in carrying out field activities.
- Manage purchases, logistical contracting, and inventory control.
- Coordinate external services (transportation, accommodation, meals, among others).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational efficiency in every activity.
Profile Requirements:
- Technical or professional training in Logistics, Administration, Project Management, Ecotourism, Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in operational/logistical coordination, ideally in field projects or rural settings.
- Strong management skills in handling resources, suppliers, and budgets.
- Ability to work independently and handle unexpected situations.
- Valid Class B driver's license (mandatory).
- Residence in Puerto Varas or nearby areas (mandatory).
- Knowledge of the Patagonia region or experience in remote areas (preferred).
